The Polish quartet GEBO consists of four graduates from the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, featuring an interesting and unconventional instrumental lineup: Michał Cholka – accordion, Olga Kowalczuk – piano, Łukasz Nowakowski – accordion, and Adam Vogelsinger – violin.
The ensemble's current program, "Music of Nations", is unique as it features arrangements of Polish, Ukrainian, and Klezmer folk music, exclusively dedicated to the GEBO Quartet. This repertoire wonderfully portrays a musical fragment of Poland's history and its eastern traditions, while perfectly fitting into the current geopolitical and integrative situation in Europe.
By sharing our music with you, we joyfully and passionately present the rich and versatile musical heritage of our country, which connects the histories and traditions of the nations close to us.
