The "BALTICA" Accordion Quintet is one of the few ensembles of its kind in the world. It was founded by Artur Zajkowski, a long-time teacher and instructor of accordionists in Koszalin. The quintet is composed of professional musicians – accordionists, most of whom are graduates of Artur Zajkowski's class.

Since its formation in 1996, the quintet, in various lineups, has won numerous major awards at international competitions held around the world. We have performed many times not only on stages across Poland but also in France, Sweden, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Russia, China, Ukraine, Portugal, on a tour in Canada, and twice in the USA. We have frequently performed and recorded for television and radio.

Our concerts are characterized by a high artistic level and excellent quality of instruments, which makes our interpretations of various music genres incredibly fascinating. We are proud to perform with concert instruments from renowned brands (Pigini, Ballone Burini, Fantini, Roland), which offer limitless sound possibilities.

The quintet’s rich, over two-hour, and diverse repertoire consists of original works for accordion or accordion quintet, as well as transcriptions, including major works by ancient masters, contemporary music, and popular music, most of which were arranged by Artur Zajkowski and members of the ensemble.
